1. About the service

Kakei is a mobile app for personal budgeting, inspired by the Japanese Kakeibo method. It lets you track income, expenses and subscriptions in a simple, intentional way.

2. App versions

Kakei is available in two tiers:

• Free version: access to core features with some limits (max 5 subscriptions, 6 default categories, 3-month history).
• Premium version: unlimited access to all features, for a one-time purchase of EUR 19.99 (lifetime license).

3. Purchases and refunds

Premium is purchased through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play Store. Refund terms are those defined by Apple and Google respectively. Kakei does not directly handle financial transactions.

4. Data and responsibility

All your data is stored locally on your device. Kakei does not provide cloud backup by default. You are solely responsible for backing up your data, notably via the JSON export feature available in settings.

5. No financial advice

Kakei is a budgeting tool. The app does not provide financial, tax or investment advice. The information displayed is based only on the data you enter.

6. Warranty disclaimer

The app is provided « as is », without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free or available without interruption.

7. Intellectual property

The Kakei brand, logo, design and all related content are protected by intellectual property rights. Any unauthorized reproduction, modification or use is prohibited.

8. Changes to terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes via an app update. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute relating to the use of Kakei will be subject to the competent courts in France.
